fromage blog and wiki system / News: Recent posts

i've spent a few nights tweaking on fromage's blog system and it's almost ready for a beta release. right now you can check it out via CVS and play with it. i'm working on a simple installation program for a simple 0 dot release. 1.0 milestones are not yet ready.

the first beta of fromage is almost ready. a couple of things need to occur for this to happen:

- i need to get a blog installer set up.
- i need to get atom ID values working

once that is set a beta release can happen. i tied a bunch of stuff in today, it's very close to being done.

keep your eyes open!

i imported the codebase i have on my own wiki and blog into CVS. i'll have to edit it, but its now in and more usable this way.

enjoy ... big changes ahead to make this usable by other people.

while "fromage" is a new project, it's not very new. i've been using my derivative of CheeseWiki for several months now and found it to be stable and popular. i have integrated a blog with the wiki, which i have also been using.

so ... this is a derivative of CheeseBlog (by ian henderson) ... hence the name .. fromage.

in the next few days i'll do a CVS checkin and get the ball rolling.
