Hi! As I'm no longer working at the university of Mainz, I'm moving all my projects to the new cebix.net. This means: 1) I have a new Email address (see the header of this message). Please use this one instead of any uni-mainz.de addresses you may have. 2) The Frodo home page is now at http://frodo.cebix.net 3) The Frodo 4 CVS server has moved to :pserver:an...@cv...:/home/cvs/cebix and can be browsed at http://www.cebix.net/viewcvs/cebix/Frodo4/ Bye, Christian -- / Physics is an algorithm \/ www.cebix.net |

I am no longer involved in any active (e32)frodo development. However I am still maintaining the e32frodo.sf.net site, where I am moderating the mailing list (lots of spam). I can tell you that the e32frodo version for Symbian Phones is really popular, and lots of people are very happy to run C64 games on their phone. /alfred |

Christian, Please take my ti...@in... address off this, as I have agressive spam filtering on it (it gets >400 spams/day); instead, use my sourceforge ID of noxegon - attached to ri...@in.... Hi! Welcome to the Frodo development mailing list! (It's about time...) I have created a SourceForge project for Frodo at http://sourceforge.net/projects/frodo/ If you want to be added as a project admin, just send me your SourceForge user ID. Port maintainers are encouraged to do this, so they can post news items and make releases (and handle bug reports :-). The central feature of the project is this mailing list, to which I've saucily added all Frodo developers whose email address still appears to work. If you don't want to be on this list, you can either unsubscribe here: http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/frodo-devel or send me a short notice, and I will take you off this list. But then I don't want to hear any complaints if you feel you're missing all the fun. :-) You can also change your settings (digest mode etc.) on that web page. There are two more lists: 1) frodo-cvs will receive copies of all CVS log messages. Subscribe if you want to be notified of changes in the source. 2) frodo-user is intended as a general discussion list about non-development related issues, user feedback etc. The (i.e. my) Frodo CVS will stay on down.physik.uni-mainz.de as there appear to be severe problems with the SourceForge CVS. If you need CVS write access, mail me. It might be useful to have a central repository for all Frodo ports. This is still the Frodo V4.x CVS. The V5 CVS will follow shortly. During the last few days I've done some updates to the source that might be of interest to you: - backported the D64 routines from Frodo V5; they can do writes to disk; in fact, they do everything except relative files. It appears to work, but is largely untested. I have probably broken the RiscOS 1541fs code in the process... - the old Linux joystick code is gone; Unix systems now use SDL for joystick input - the SDL display can be in fullscreen - under Linux you can use the Catweasel PCI card for sound emulation - more accurate timing under Linux (using select()) - I have started a Glade/GNOME/Gtk+-based prefs editor for Unix that will replace the Tcl/Tk-based one The docs still need updating. I also plan to remove the "64prgs" directory, or replace the programs in it with some more useful ones. Happy hacking, Christian -- / Physics is an algorithm \/ http://www.uni-mainz.de/~bauec002/ |
