How to import downloaded feed

This is a mini how-to import public feeds and rooms into your frenf.it account.

This guide refers to the Phase 2 of the import, i.e. I assume that you have already started the process and your feed has been downloaded in the frenf.it server.

This means that you should have a page like this:

The feed import page should appear like in the image below:

Once you click on the import button a background process starts and you can leave the page.
The page will then look like this:

If the process ends without errors, you will eventually see this message:

Otherwise an error message will be displayed.
If the process fails, you can run it 2 more times. If also the third attempt fails, send me a message or open a ticket here on sourceforge.

Room import
The room import page has a tab with 2 options:

• Admin on Frenf.it
  and
• NOT admin on Frenf.it

In the first case, you are admin of the room where you want to import the downloaded feed. Simply select it from the drop down list and click the import button.
The process will run in background

In the second case, you know that a room exists already in frenf.it and you want to import the downloaded feed there. You can then delegate another user, admin of the frenf.it room, to import the feed.
Insert the username in the textfield

If the username is correct, a summary will appear and you can grant him/her rights to import the feed.

The delegated user will then have the new feed in the list of the imports in the "Import from Friendfeed" page.
