I had a GeForce2 MX200. Today I bought a GeForce 6200 (PCI) for $50 which says it supports OpenGL 2.1. Then when I did the Additional Drivers search: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BinaryDriverHowto/Nvidia it came up with a lot more driver options to choose from, including 304, and recommended 'current'. I selected Current, hit the Activate button, rebooted and now freewrl runs and I can see GLES2 stuff like the menu bar. -Doug |
