It would be nice if Freevo played daap feeds (i.e. from Firefly Media Server or iTunes)

I think at least the hard part is done (says the non-programmer :-) - Pythondaap exists and is in use by other similar projects - see http://jerakeen.org/code/pythondaap/

This entry is a cleaned up version of request #1617245 pretty much - I think it can be closed out.

Are there any free daap feeds that the plug in can be tested against? Not being a huge music fan it would need an account

Easiest way to get a feed if you have a Windows or Mac box around install iTunes and check the 'share my music' option in the preferences. Only slightly more difficult is install mt-daapd (now Firefly Media Server) from http://www.fireflymediaserver.org/ and point it at a folder of music files.

I'm not aware of any public over the internet feeds - Apple's iTunes deliberately doesn't allow this as of version 4 or so (it's now up to version 7) but I think mt-daapd didn't bother with any such silliness.

I could set one up for you if you don't like either of the above options - just contact me privately and I'll poke a hole in my home firewall or something.

I'd be more than happy to help with testing on this....
