FreeTV GCC Toolchain / News: Recent posts

As you may have noticed, there's a new developer listen on the project: "tekhedd". He's explained to me that he feels he is the right guy for the maintainer job. After a few emails back and forth, I'm ready to believe him! Let's see if he can kick this project back to life! :)

Some people have complained that without the postlink program, you really can't build proper OpenTV apps. Well, fear no more, because in OpenTV SDK 2.0 (very old, but still), that program is actually listed as GPL and there are people right now working on getting the source from OpenTV!

freetv-1.0.1.tar.gz contains all files & instructions to build all the GPL licensend files from the OpenTV GCC ToolChain. In freetv1.0, a few files were missing wich made it impossible to build libgcc2.a, this is now fixed.

Please note that this is still OpenTV 2.1 software. The 3.0 release is coming, I'm working on it! :)

The sources in the CVS has not, until now, worked when it comes to building the file libgcc2.a. That is now fixed, and the README.howtobuild has been updated accordingly.
