Hi all, As you may or may not know, I am currently working on a font called Eldamar which will include all the characters of my previously released fonts Tengwar Eldamar, Sarati Eldamar, Valmaric Eldamar, as well as new characters from the Pre-Feanorian, Feanorian and New English Alphabet revealed in recent publications. A beta of the font is available here: http://at.mansbjorkman.net/eldamar/ For the next beta version of the font, I am strongly inclined to replace the current tehta placement functionality (using OpenType's calt feature), instead using the mark and mkmk features. However, I am uncertain about how to handle the fact that some tehtar can appear side by side on top of the same tengwa, as well as stacked vertically. Are there any de facto standards in the existing Tengwar fonts for how to handle this? I apologize if this has been discussed before; it's been a few years since I (or any of us, it seems) worked actively on Tolkien fonts, and my memory is a little rusty.
