Hi Johan Hi everybody The upcoming release of LibreOffice brings an important and long-awaited improvement: The shaping engine will be changed to Harfbuzz on all platforms. Consequently, Graphite will be supported on any version of LibreOffice, including macOS (or whatever it is called). This had me looking again into whether or how the smart features of Tengwar Telcontar can be selected. It turns out the constraints are the same as on Firefox. The smart features can be selected individually, but the current three-digit feature names do not work. http://freetengwar.sourceforge.net/testcases/tengwar_telcontar_graphite_testpage/ http://freetengwar.sourceforge.net/testcases/tengwar_telcontar_graphite_testpage/tengtelc.008tmpfork.ttf That page attests that I was able to successfully build Tengwar Telcontar a couple of years ago. My attempts at building it again have been frustrated. I have succeeded at running the compile script on the .8 tagged version, but the resulting fonts lack all the smartness. I have not been able to run the compile script on the trunk version. The programs I have used are from a current Lubuntu 16.10 yakkety's repositories: grcompiler 4.2 and FontForge 20160404. Any ideas? -- grüess mach |
