Hello. I'd like to suggest my logo as well. I went back and studied a lot of cyberpunk work to make sure I had the look down. I know the primary color is green, but I thought it would be okay if I used a tetradic color ;)
I definitely feel like its far from perfect (I always do with my design), and I'm open to any suggestions. The type used is something I designed, and references the old Tron font. Definitely going to continue polishing it.

As for the font, I agree on something thinner. I started working on a font that looks similar to the display font on the FreeSynd project page. Feel like its a "brand" for the program, so the design should be somewhat consistent with it.

I don't know why but your logo reminds me of something for a space game.
What I like with the logo from Pawel is that it has some gameplay elements in it (the radar, a target, the map). It's not perfect (I'm not sure about the letter shape) but I like it.
Maybe you could try also add some element from the game? But it's still a good work! Thank you.

I appreciate the comment :). I do graphic design for a living, but mostly web and poster design. I felt like my logo and icon design could use some sharpening, so I thought this would be a fun project. I owned the SNES version of Syndicate, so I think my experience was a little different with the game.
So here's another revision. I added a map layout (made it a little transparent so it wouldn't conflict with the text) and the sonar effect. The four squares at the top represent a full team of agents.
What are you thinking for the text shadow? Different blue, switch to green? Red is green's compliment, maybe we could try that? I'm sure a darker red would keep it from looking like Christmas.

Double post since I can't figure out how to upload multiple attachments. I liked the way the icon looked without the border, so I'm attaching that one as well to see what you think.
Icons need border as there is no assurance that background will not be the same as used in icon. In our case border is too bright, black should be more appropriate. Corners need to be created from arc with radius x2 of current - this way corners even at 16x16 should be rounded.

Hi again. I've changed document preferences for the 512x512 resolution and repaired the problem with distribution of elements on their proper layers. I've also added a new one solely for radar and a gradient for the frame's shadow. Because of that I want to post an another revision of my work.

I have to admit that I'm an amateur and I have very little experience with vector/computer graphics.
I was inspired mostly by the Syndicate's box art and by one of the in-game fonts. I've called it "FS icon". Please enjoy.

Sorry to post again so soon, but I noticed the grid was getting a little harsh. Here is one dialed back a bit.
I like rev3 more then rev4, has better contrast. Also a better color for text shadow will make it better.
But after some comparing, you are right rev4 is better.

Red, but not too dark should be good. And rounded corners like in sf logo.

Not enough rounded look at small size http://freesynd.sourceforge.net/icons_view/ . Color is perfect though.
Used the FS Logo as reference for this one. Corners should be as rounded as that one.

Yes, black is much more appropriate. Looks very nice. I zoomed the SVG as far as I could to make sure the edges stayed round on this version.
