I've invested a lot of time recently usability fixes as a priority. I believe it is more important for this to be intuitively playable by all than hard work.
This has mostly been Mac centric as that has been my constraint up until now. By next week, I will have Windows 10 and Linux Mint so will have more awareness of how this performs on these OS's.
I have rolled out an improvement where left click will select the requestion station or terrain as it was hard work and affected the joy of playing.
I've recently been battling a horrible mac issue where menu's are not rendering properly and this is massively frustrating and can make it unplayable at times. I've isolated and solved the issue but would like to test it on windows and linux before rolling out. This was a legacy issue, so it's no worse that Freerails2, but really need to be fixed to live up to the UX focus.
After I'm confident that it is very playable, I will focus on additions and gameplay balance issues. I have a list, which I will post here, any feedback or steering on priorities will be appreciated so I know what people care about the most. If you bear with me, this will be greatly improved.
I've learnt a lot about the game design and how it works. Game development is not my experience so this is all new and fun. I've mostly focussed on web development before now.
Roadmap will be in a seperate thread to focus discussion on the points at hand.
Regards,
Luke
