Hi.
Recently Freeplane's connectors were improved, allowing to hide/show connectors lines.
The new functionality brings much power to connectors be used more often, since now it is possible to use plenty of connectors without messing up the visual of the map. In my case, I avoided using connectors to keep a neat, clean map visualization, but since hide/show connectors lines was improved, I'm using connectors everywhere.
Freeplane already has "attribute manager" tool, and I'd suggest to develop a "connector manager" too.
With the "connector manager" it could be possible to have an overview about all connections in a map, and also "go to" direct to a node from the "connector manager".
In this screen-recording - https://goo.gl/27xqlV - there is an analogy that could provide a get starting to think how Freplanes's "connector manager" could work.
This is just an initial idea which needs to achieve maturity through discussion!
Thanks for considering the suggestion.

I'd like to second this feature request; attached below is just a screenshot portion of my map, not a screencap of upcoming Spiderman movie, zoomed at 75%. As one can imagine, it's very difficult to select a particular line, let alone identify one.
I'd like to share a software that I use on Pocket PC called Pocket Mindmap, where "references" are analogous to Freeplane's "connectors." Despite it being developed more than a decade ago, it also features a reference manager, similar to the relation manager featured in ATLAS.ti mentioned in the original post. Back to the title of this feature request, something like ATLAS.ti's link manager could be something for Freeplane's connector manager to consider.
