Alexandre, thank you, I know there are scripts (but know nothing about how to use them presently). This feature used to be a simple option and is still documented as such.

If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
Then in Freeplane go to the Tools menu, select "Open user directory", open the "Scripts" directory, and copy the downloaded script there.
Then restart Freeplane.
Then position the cursor to the root node of the branch to export, and go to the menu Tools > Scripts, then select the script named "Map To Html Doc".
On Windows 10
I tried to run this in Freemind version 1.8.0 but I'm getting the following error:
" ... The following operation is forbidden: Read c:\Temp. You can change this in program settings."
How can I fix this?
Thanks

I used to be able to export a node and its children to HTML. Is that possible anymore? It is listed here, but I can't find its new location. http://freeplane.sourceforge.net/doc/FP_MenuReference_all_languages.html
Hi Joseph,
Maybe this could help:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/viaa/FreeplaneScripts/master/MapToHtmlDoc.groovy
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/viaa/FreeplaneScripts/master/MapToHtmlDocDemoMap.mm
It can export branches and whole maps to html.

Hi Joseph,
I don't know about this option.
But if you would want to try the script, download it here:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/viaa/FreeplaneScripts/master/MapToHtmlDoc.groovy
The documentation is here:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/viaa/FreeplaneScripts/master/MapToHtmlDocDemoMap.mm
Best regards,
Alexandre
