Is there a script or a piece of code somewhere to remove duplicate nodes in the children of a node? And possibly if this code could keep the format, meaning that it would not create a new list of nodes.

Are you talking about removing clones?
Or is it nodes that just happen to have the same text/details whatever, that you want to remove?
