    Hi Freeplaners;

    is there a way to set a map to be read only so that you can navigate, fold, unfold, open links but cannot alter the map at all.

    This is different from setting the file attribute to read only so that cannot be saved over itself.

    Thanks

    Hi Zipzap,

    there isn't a good format to export it to that gives you the same fold/unfold display ability.

      Not on the computer now, but I remember that was an option to export to
      java webstart or applet (or similar). That will look just like a read-only
      freeplane

    Unfortunately currently there is no way to use Freeplane in a readonly mode. If it is important it could be implemented in Freeplane 1.7 but not earlier.

    Java webstart is not a good option because it does not support some of functionality (e.g. formulas, latex).

    I think this would be a great feature.
    I can wait for Freeplane 1.7 - whenever that is. :)

    Hi.
    In MindManager 2017 it was implemented an interactive map (read-only) which is exported as HTML5.
    The function is illustrated in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGXnOG86eLA
    What about an interactive map HTML5 export format in Freeplane 1.7?
    Cheers!
