I didn't paid attention on other days but today I see Freeplane/Java power usage high or very high. Is it the same for you? Maybe it is normal for Java applications.
I closed all maps and restarted Freeplane and now it is very low.
So there is a map that cause this, maybe there are too many nodes in one of
these maps.

Freeplane should not use much power or CPU the most part of the time.
If it happens it is very likely to be caused by a bug and actually needs further investigation
