Node BBB has style Level 1 and node AAA has style Level 5 because level styles are applied to all nodes. However, the styles are not assigned to nodes. Therefore formatting options related to level styles are not copied when format is copied from node BBB and pasted to node AAA.

Hi, when using copy / paste format I'm often finding that Freeplane pastes only certain format attributes from one node to the other.
In this example, you can see how the border color and the bold text are not being pasted:
