I am using 1.9.0. The status bar when freeplane starts is shown but the check box is not checked in View > Controls menu. Maybe this is because prior to run 1.9.0 I just ran 1.8 and there the status bar is not displayed, but it is 1.9.0. Maybe there was a confusion in config files. I am not sure.
You can see the issue from the screenshot.

It is magic. I can not reproduce it here.
Which OS and which Look and Feel do you use?
Could you attach your auto.properties file from your user configuration directory and your log file?

#2911Hi Dmitry,
Maybe I should say that I am running freeplane from source code. I compiled it and run it from the command line.
Also I just had the same issue but with the toolbar (not the status bar).
I just installed Freeplane-Setup-1.9.0-pre17.exe and I got the same bug with it (with the toolbar this time). Please see the screenshot.
Which java version do you use?
Please attach your freeplane log file
Hi Dmitry,
I have Java 11
java version "11.0.10" 2021-01-19 LTS
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 18.9 (build 11.0.10+8-LTS-162)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 18.9 (build 11.0.10+8-LTS-162, mixed mode)
I think I add the issue around the time I opened the ticket (before).
So I did a screenshot and sent it.
Fixed in 1.9.0_18, thanks for reporting
