When I press a standard system keyboard shortcut, like Shift+F10 for a popup menu (right-click) or Alt+F4 for closing the app, those shortcuts don't work. Because Freeplane always catches the keystrokes, even when "Ignore unassigned F-Keys" is selected in "Preferences - Keystrokes".

Together with #2671 (broken mnemonics), this goes against common user experience. Can you please fix Freeplane so that it supports standard system shortcuts?

Tested on Windows 8, Freeplane 1.7.9.

I get a pop up telling me to assign hot keys unless I select "Ignore unassigned F-Keys" in which case the option works as intended. I think a good option would be adding a "Allow unassigned system keyboard shortcuts" option that is selected by default. Tested on Windows 10, Freeplane 1.7.9.

Hi Matthew, I guess we both talk about the same thing. I hope that it is your case as well that when you press one of the system shortcuts, they don't work, no matter what you do, or do they?
