Category: Client Group: Latest Subversion Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: iLess (laplaceoperator) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Execve problems during ai client construction Initial Comment: If execve fails during starting of ai clients all the copies of freeoriond remain in memory and continue to build more ai clients (which themselves fail again at execve and so on). It's kind of like an avalanche. This problem was encountered on Mac Os X but I imagine that it will also occur on any linux or bsd system. possible solution: In Process.cpp just exit if execve returns. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Zach Laine (tzlaine) Date: 2008-02-08 22:02 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=729903 Originator: NO I have no Mac on which to test this. Please provide as much info as you have. Specifically: When does this happen? All the time, or sometimes (if so when)? Did you/Will you try the above fix, or some others? Did it work? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=544942&aid=1836909&group_id=75752 |
