Some of you may remember that I posted about a bug that I recently saw in
Windows, in which no star systems appear in the MapWnd when the game is
I may not have called it a bug exactly, I don't remember. I thought it was
due to a problem with my MinGW/DevC++ build. But yesterday I got a copy of
MS .NET 2003, and have compiled GG and FO with it, and the same
disappearing-stars thing is happening again. This time I noticed that the
turn button is missing as well.
When I click where the turn button *should* be, the turn ends as usual.
Also, when I drag the starfield, sometimes it doesn't move when I drag it at
certain places, which indicates to me that the star systems icons are
actually there, but that I just can't see them.
I haven't investigated this too much yet, but I thought I'd post something
now, so others can investigate as well. As far as I know, this is the only
thing holding back the v0.1 release. I thought before that the DevC++ build
system was messed up somehow, but now it appears that that issue is
resolved, though now there is a new one in its place
