On a Supermicro X8ST3-F motherboard a usb keyboard and apc ups plugged in two the two rear usb ports is not detected on boot causing the ups service to complain it can't find the ups. A usb flash drive plugged in to one of the internal usb headers and a cdrom plugged in to the front usb 6/7 (I believe) ports detects on boot. To get the keyboard and ups to be detected they need to be unplugged and plugged back in after boot. In addition the virtual usb keyboard and mouse created by IPMI are not detected until you change mouse focus (relative vs absolute) which seems to cause the devices to be disconnected and reconnected.
