#783 Can't setup several NFS shares to the same subnet

When configuring NFS shares, only the first share in a given subnet gets exported

Shares are included in config.xml and /etc/exports but "showmount -e" doesn0t show them as exported

It seems a nfsd issue?

    Michael,

I believe topi is talking about how NFS allows a subnet/host to be listed only once. See forum post here: http://bit.ly/curCt1

bumblebtuna2k1: this post explain the same problem i'm observing, it's not a bug?

topinux, i would say FreeNAS's web interface is misleading/not catching the export error gracefully. according to the FreeBSD handbook, NFS is not at fault; the "bug" is expected behavior and thus is not a bug.

bumblebtuna2k1: if this is a expected behavior of NFS, how can i export 2 different shares to the same subnet?

topinux: have you tried setting one share with multiple paths, separated by spaces, and exported to the one subnet/client?

For example, one of my shares has the path set to:
    /mnt/junk /mnt/videos /mnt/home

    and the subnet is:
    192.168.2.0/24

I tried to explain the situation and workaround here: http://bit.ly/curCt1
