Hi thanks,
Can we have your freenas build number and i386/amd64 info please.
Regards,
Michael Zoon
Michael,
I believe topi is talking about how NFS allows a subnet/host to be listed only once. See forum post here: http://bit.ly/curCt1
Version: 0.7.1 Shere (revision 5127)
OS Version: FreeBSD 7.2-RELEASE-p7 (revision 199506)
Platform: i386-embedded on Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 3.06GHz
bumblebtuna2k1: this post explain the same problem i'm observing, it's not a bug?
topinux, i would say FreeNAS's web interface is misleading/not catching the export error gracefully. according to the FreeBSD handbook, NFS is not at fault; the "bug" is expected behavior and thus is not a bug.
bumblebtuna2k1: if this is a expected behavior of NFS, how can i export 2 different shares to the same subnet?
topinux: have you tried setting one share with multiple paths, separated by spaces, and exported to the one subnet/client?
For example, one of my shares has the path set to:
/mnt/junk /mnt/videos /mnt/home
and the subnet is:
192.168.2.0/24
I tried to explain the situation and workaround here: http://bit.ly/curCt1
