Selecting an "ONLINE" status for a pool members takes that member offline without any warning. You are taken to the Disks|ZFS|Pools|Tools page. None of this makes any sense.
As Disks|ZFS|Pools|Information is simply that, an information page I do not believe and pool functions should be possible from this page.
Secondly, the same applies for the 'scrub" link on this page, selecting this link takes you to the Disks|ZFS|Pools|Tools page with "scrub" preselected as the command, but without any notice a scrub has been started immediately. Should the user proceed by selecting "send command" then the scrub is already running, if they back out of the tools page (thinking they did not start a scrub) then they are mistaken.
Again, I do no believe any actions should be possible from an information page.
I agree that this feature is very dangerous without a confirmation. Especially the scrub, since ZFS isn't 100% stable, and the version of ZFS that is running on FreeNAS 7 is so outdated it does not handle multiple scrubs being started concurrently handle things.
Although ZFS will not take a drive offline unless there are valid replicas available. So at least you will always have your files available.
I agree this.
Now it is disabled as temporary solution.
