I've got the following problem:
The system on which FreeNAS should be installed is not equipped with an optical drive. There is no such drive available for me. I've got the USB-memory drive bootable with the "embedded"-image but this version doesn't support installation on HDDs like it's possible with the iso-image. Adding this feature would be wishable.
Further I tried to boot the iso-image wire Intel IDE-redirect (an Intel active management technologie).
The booting was sucessfull, the installation not. FreeNAS didn't find an optical drive anymore. While booting the FreeBSD the system probably tried accessing the virtual CD-Rom drive directly. Is there a possibility to access the drive via the BIOS?
