i386-embedded on Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.80GHz

Scenario:

ZFS pool1:
Mirror
/dev/ad0 - 250 GB
/dev/ad1 - 500 GB

EXT2 disk which is mounted at /mnt/olddisk :
/dev/ad2 - 500 GB

  1. Delete the mount point of /dev/ad2 and delete the disk in the disk management.
  2. Re-add the disk in the disk management as a ZFS volume.
  3. At the console type: zpool replace pool1 ad0 ad2
  4. ZFS pool is updated and after reboot 500GB are now available for pool1
  5. Under disk management remove /dev/ad0 then re-add as a UFS disk
  6. Under format or under mount /dev/ad0 is not available, instead /dev/ad2 is.
