#592 vge0 via gigabit interface not working anymore

Using 0.7RC1 or 0.69.2 on my via EPIA-SN motherboard results in: the following. This used to work (albeit only at 100MB) in 0.69.1

fcff irq 28 at device 0.0 on pci3
vge0: MII read timed out
vge0: failed to start MII autopoll
vge0: MII without any phy!
device_attach: vge0 attach returned 6
