Testing 0.69 (4142) I do not see the Traffic Graph or CPU load graphic - when accessing WebGUI with HTTPS.

In IE, I see the message "...Opening page https://<my IP="">/status_graph.php" which freezes at ~50% progress.

No graphic is visible.

When I reconfigure WebGUI access for HTTP, the graph displays correctly.

Apologies if this is a problem with my configuration!

Hmmm, did not have any problems with Firefox.

    Hello Volker

You are correct; Firefox (3.0.5b) displays the graphs.

However, I tested with a 2nd machine (Vista 64 and IE7) and again no graphs are displayed. I tried under Protected and Un-Protected modes - no change.

I am certain earlier builds have worked with IE (I do not know why I use this for NAS config - I use FF for all other tasks!)

I see there was a similar 'bug' raised - HTTPS and SVG - ID: 2027657. There is a link to some support information on SVG Viewer and HTTPS.

    Keep up the good work.

    Best Regards

    Andy

In newer version the following line is added to the WebGUI pages:

    Do this cause the problem?

    Hi Volker

I have updated to 0.69 4221 (embedded) and continue to experience the problem that Graphs are not displayed with IE6 or 7 (Firefox OK).

I do not understand you fully (sorry).
Are you saying you added these lines to the newest build? And that you might expect different behavior?
Sorry, but I do not get different results!

If no-one else has reported this problem, then maybe I have a local problem - but I do not know what! Could this be linked to a 'certificate error'?

    Regards

    Andy

This line has been added with other code changes to fix misc other problems with (f**king) MSIE and make HTML valid. I'm no HTML expert but this DOCTYPE declaration fixes some IE rendering problems but has also produced some other unexpected WebGUI results that i have to fix by modifying some code.

I will check it again with IE6 (did not have 7).

Ahmmm, please note that MSIE can only display SVG itself, you have to install Adobe SVG Viewer. I get the following message with IE6:

Your browser does not support this object type!
Note: The Adobe SVG viewer is required to view the graph.

I don't know if MSIE 7 supports SVG rendering out of the box.

    Hello Volker

I am sure you are right, but I have already installed SVG (though I have just re-installed it!)

I have just investigated with FreeNAS 0.69RC1 (3991) and RC2 (4084) and I get the same results...
If I access WebGUI using HTTPS I do not see the Graphs, using IE6 (XP SP2) or IE7 (Vista 64 SP1). If I reconfigure to HTTP, Graphs are displayed (so I guess SVG is installed OK).

Regrettably, I am no HTML expert either, so I cannot offer much help!

I can switch to Firefox, or use HTTP, I guess - I just thought that if there is a problem with the WebGUI, and it can be fixed, that would be the best situation.

    Regards

    Andy

I found this link http://support.adobe.com/devsup/devsup.nsf/docs/54112.htm but this does not help. I was not able to get it working for IE + HTTPS. Maybe a HTML expert may help here.

    Regards
    Volker
