#40 RSYNCD: unusual characters get corrupted

Transfering files with i.e. german umlaut characters
(äöü) results in changing these characters to "_" on
the FreeNAS machine.

This could probably be fixed by adding

unix charset = iso8859-15
display charset = iso8859-15

to smb.conf

    Same problem with Samba too.
Special name File create by samba, can't be read with FTP.

    unix charset = iso8859-15
    display charset = iso8859-15

I found this asking google for our problem, I cannot test
    this here.

There were other solutions changing the mount options for
    the smb shares.

RSYNCD itself does not use smb.conf

The problem is still present, here are some more details:

In services/cifs CP850 is configured as DOS charset (which
should make no difference at this point).

If I copy files with german umlaut charcters using Windows
XP explorer, they are shown correct using Windows XP explorer.
Using FTP these charcters (copied by Windows using CIFS) are
    corrupted.

If I copy files using rsync, the characters are corrupted
using windows CIFS (eg. showing in XP explorer) but they are
    shown correct using FTP.

So FTP and RSYNC seem to use the same type of interpretation.

the FTP daemon don't support UTF8: For check RSYNC, use CIFS
    only.

I used WinXP cifs to check the Rsync results. They are not ok.

vstpd will be replaced by pure-ftpd in the next release that
    should support UTF-8.
