Samba allows anonymous access no matter what you choose
under CIFS share| Authentication when connecting via
smbclient on linux. You get full read/write. When
checking the logs it looks like it's connecting via
user ftp. It doesn't seem to do this when accessing via
Windows. The v0.66 version does this as well.

log:
[2006/07/28 12:29:01, 1]
smbd/service.c:make_connection_snum(693)
ca0xxx (10.105.x.x) connect to service data initially
as user ftp (uid=21, gid=50) (pid 737)

command:
smbclient \\ipaddress\sharename

OS:
SUSE Linux SLED 10
smbclient --version
Version 3.0.22-13.16-SUSE-SLES10

Should be fixed on the next release (0.68RC2).
