I agree to that, too. What can be done in userspace, should be done in 
userspace, not inside AES.

Most of this seems to be added by https://github.com/freemint/freemint/commit/
6d5af713d62619a8b7fb6b027f8395eb40accf5e (along with some unrelated changes)
