Sorry I meant on the Falcon. Whatever happens on Milan is between you and
Milan ;-) because I have no means to debug it.

Ooh, this is a strong indicator indeed. I have been witnessing weird
crashes/freezes during the boot when booting with ifconfig/route commands
in mint.cnf, too but I couldn't find anyone else with similar issues nor a
way to debug it.

Ironically, now that I replaced my disk and introduced a slightly different
way of starting the network (still from mint.cnf, though), I don't see one
single crash anymore.

So anything you can bring to the table is more than welcome.
