I completed the work for corresponding to various picture
    format exporting.

    In freemind.properties,user.properties
    "export_image_types=png,jpeg".

If you can write other image format with ImageIO.write,
then you add image format in user.properties.

    ex) export_image_types=png,jpeg,gif,bmp

    See ImageIO.getWriterFormatNames

Defautl supported format are PNG, JPEG.
If JAI(Java Advanced Imaging) reference library (
    http://java.sun.com/products/java-media/jai/\) installed, you
can export as various image format(BMP,TIF,etc).

It's an very interesting patch, but unfortunately after
calling patch I get 2 ant errors:

    Thank you Takeshi,

you made an really intersting patch - great job!
Would it be difficult to integrate this picture in an
HTML-file, where for each branch there is an <area> command
    (e.g. <area shape="rect" coords="609,259,759,289" href="../
    test.htm" target="_top"> ) ??

I'm looking for this functionality to migrate my Web-Site
    from MindManager to FreeMind.

Please have a look at my site http://www.clemens-kraus.de
then you will see what I mean.
    Thanks!

Thank you very much Takeshi !

This patch is just great, even if I had to spend several hours
learning how to use Eclipse, patches, etc.

    Two additional suggestions :
o enhance the resolution of the image generated (would it be
    even possible to choose ?)
o I like the idea suggested by Clemens Kraus, I do support it
    also.

    Best regards,

    Le Butineur (Franois R.)

    Hello!

I'm a newcomer Freemind user and just got program installed.
(Looks like great program!) Exporting mindmaps as image files
would be very useful for my purposes. I'm not a programmer,
so I didn't get the picture how that patch which enables
image exporting could be installed to Freemind.

Is it possible to help me and give some instructions how I
    could do it?

    Hi Marko.

    Please check alpha
    version(http://freemind.sourceforge.net/testversions/).
This veresion can use exporing image(PNG only).

    best regards

Thank you for developing a great functionality, Takeshi!

I managed to install Eclipse and compiled latest Freemind with
    your patch. It's working fine!

Just tried it out and I like what I see.

One remark though: isn't it cleaner to remove the "Export to
image" submenus and give the user the choice to save in a
given format in the following file menu ?

This could possibly be implemented by passing "chooser"
multiple ImageFilters - e.g. one for PNG and the other for
    JPEG.

It might also be possible to generate all image types
dynamically - also via javax.imageio. Or to do this when
export_image_types is left empty. Now, if you leave
export_image_types empty, it results ia funny little
    submenu ...

    Regards,
    Michiel

We consider that this patch has been introduced in FreeMind 0.8.0.
Please complain and/or re-open the patch report if it should be
