At the moment in FreeMind 0.8 when inserting an image into a node you only get the choice of picking the image file from your local file system. Could you please add another option to allow a user to enter a URL that points to an image on the internet? At the moment you have two options for adding links to a node - picking a file from your local file system or entering a URL that points to an external link. That is the sort of thing that would be useful for images as well.

The reason I suggest this is for uploading mind maps to the FreeMind Gallery. At the moment it is not easy to upload a mind map that has images, because the only easy way to add images is to add links to images on the local file system. I would like to upload images to the Freemind wiki then create a map that links to them, then upload the map to the Gallery.

I've already done this, by the way (see mindmap Test_ImageUploadedToFreemindGallery.mm which was uploaded to the FreeMind wiki, which displays an image that was previously uploaded to the wiki). However, to link to images on the internet with FreeMind 0.8 requires hacking the source code of the mind map (adding the URL of the image to the src attribute of the img tag embedded in the mind map). It would be nice to be able to just enter the URL into a dialog box, as we can when adding an external link.
