by and large, freemind runs great. Only I discovered, that javaw.exe takes a lot of CPU time, while the program is minimized with no action whatsoever. It's just freemind beeing running, with no mind maps in the editor. Loading or unloading mind maps does not change much, a little may be.
Is this a java property to be busy all the time, or is it a programming issue, with freemind always running some loops to check something or the like?
Does anyone else have this issue?
please send the output of jstack <pid> to identify your running tasks. Do you have many reminders? Is it the same without open maps?
The problem seems not to be easily reproduceable, as now, after a restart, javaw.exe takes only 2 - 4 % CPU time. I'll look at it and see, if I can find conditions of reproduceability.
Hi, as attachment an example screenshot of freemind using 60-over 70 % cpu time with many maps open.
I am sorry, I did not find out how to use jstack until now.
which version of FM? Try the latest 1.0.0 RC5, please.
