I'm using Freemind 0.8.0 since middle of 2008 under Windows without any complaints.
Yesterday I received major updates from F-Secure Anti Virus. In today's virus scan F-Secure suddenly found a trojan horse pattern for freemind.exe (Trojan.Win32.Soul). A quick check on two other systems delivered the same result on three different Windows systems (1 x Vista and 2 x XP). F-Secure disinfected the application automatically and transfered freemind.exe in quarantine.
As a precaution I deinstalled Freemind on my local system. Is there really a virus or is it just a pattern mismatch?
