Mac FreeMind 0.9.0 Startup problem

I've been using v.0.9.0 on my Macbook Air on Lion for some time and is working fine.  Just now, I changed the "Last Opened List Length to 0 under Preference/Environment.  I closed the program and restarted again.  At the splash screen, the gauge stopped at "Create Controller…", then a message window with heading "Startup problem" showed up, saying "freemind.main.FreeMind can't be started".

I researched around, tried the below already but with no luck:-
    - used Appcleaner to remove FreeMind, and reinstalled again
    - remove Freemind, then delete the entire Java folder from /System/Library, reinstall the latest Java SE 6 v1.6.0_29, then reinstall FreeMind

I'm out of clue already.  Please help.

    Thanks in advance.

Just found out how to solve my problem and would like to share here.

    cd $HOME/.freemind

Then freemind can start again.  When I look through the file, the property "last_opened_list_length" has no value.  It confirmed my believe that when I changed it from the preference pane to 0, it would cause freemind to crash on startup.
