I think the FreeMind concept is great, and I appreciate the developers' work. I'm having a problem, though.
I just installed FM v0.7.1 on Windows XP Pro (SP2), with Java 1.4.2. All of FM's text characters are broken by small vertical lines, making the maps and menus hard to read.
I've tried the Preferences > Antialiasing features, but they don't seem to make any difference.
I'm using a new Samsung LCD monitor and an ATI Radeon 9600 graphics card, both with current drivers.
I run many other programs that use text and graphics, and FM is the only one with this problem. (It's the only Java program I use, too---could that have something to do with it?)
Any ideas what I can do?
Er, never mind. I ran FM a couple more times, and the problem went away. It looks great now. Go figure...
Well, if this happens to anyone else, try quitting and re-running the program.
