I'm using FreeMind 0.8.1
System: WinXP
RAM: 1GB

At first: FreeMind is VERY cool!

When zooming very deep into a MindMap the ressource consumption raises enormously.
To me it seams like the system allocates more and more ressources with every step the uses zooms deeper into the map. (test zoom 10000 - 40000%)
By zooming into a more complex map FreeMind quickly uses > 1GB of RAM.
By going too deep into a map FreeMind crashes.

Proposal: limit uper zoom level to 1000% ?

An other problem connected to the descibed on: Even after zooming back to 'normal' ratios all the RAM stays allocated until FreeMind is closed.

Kind regards:

I can't reproduce this on Linux. There seems to be an automatic limit to zoom, anyway. And I don't get a crash.
