Problem Summary:
When editing a node entering a space character toggles "Node fold/unfold".
Is bug #415 back?

Further details:
Disabling Node fold/unfold by clearing the Space-shortcut works. After redefining Space the bug is back.
Yesterday I set up my new machine and I installed quite a lot of software and used freemind to document the tweaks I did. I'm absolutely sure that it worked fine in the beginning, but suddenly the behaviour changed. But I didn't even touch the preferences.
I also tried to remove freemind an re-installed it. No change.
I deleted the .freemind-folder in my homefolder. No change.
The behaviour is the same in the big mindmap I made yesterday and a new one.
For the moment I assigned Ctrl-Space for Node fold/unfold.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Seems to be a general problem with handling "space" events ; I'm getting problems in the Note window too. Typing a space returns the caret to the start of the text entry area and erases what's there.

Looks like it needs to stop handling space events while a text caret is visible.

    Think what is happening is

    • Space is pressed
    • Event is handled by current node
    • Current node folds (removing focus from text entry)
    • Event is handled by text entry area
    • Because this is now a "new" session of text entry, existing text is replaced
