#1186 Windows, like "Preferences" do not appear

Windows, like Extras->Properties (Extras->Einstellung) seem to lie directly under the main screen (the Mindmap) and I do not have any chance to invoke them. They seem to have the same size and always the same position as the main screen. If I move the main stream to another position, the underlying windows seems to do the same. At least this is my assumption as I do not see the underlying window when moving the main window and I can't invoke it.

With ALT-TAP I can see the underlying window (the Preference screen) but when I select it, the main screen comes up. This is not only valid for the Preference screen, for e.g. Help->Help Sites (Hilfe->Hilfeseiten), too.

I have to cancel Freemind afterwards as the main screen does not respond any more (I assume the focus is on the window behind the main stream).

I use Ubuntu 13.10.
