I'm downloading it... but I see you didn't post any description of the new features... In your latestest messages you said you're workning on the A.I., so I assume we'll have to focus our attention on the A.I. players behaviour...
By the way, is it possible to mention in the installer file's name the version number, thus I could have mentioned it in this very post's title the version number instead of the date ;)
exemple: "FreeMarsInstaller-v0691.rar"
Maybe it would help you too, when storing all these versions in you computer.

Yes I am still alive :) I know I've been neglecting the game for some time.
Files menu in sourceforge has a README file, the game installation folder also contains that file. Updates are written in it. Not much AI but a little diplomacy has been added to the game, and also I fixed the map editor.
A single installation file automatically appears in sourceforge page... and I like keeping file name simple :)
I'm testing the FM latest version (0.8.7.0) and I noticed you finally allowed the Shuttle to travel directly from planet to planet, without stopping in Mars orbit. I think this way is more player-friendly.
