Using ivy.xml config: <dependency org="org.freemarker" name="freemarker" rev="2.3.18"/>
It pulls down 2 jars:
-rw-r-r- 1 *** *** 813365 2011-05-21 15:27 freemarker-2.3.18.jar
-rw-r-r- 1 *** *** 813365 2011-05-21 15:27 freemarker-2.3.18-sources.jar
The contents of both jars is just source .java files, neither jar contains .class files. In order to get it to work I had to download the freemaker.jar from sourceforge (which does contain the class files) and manually drop it into the lib directory. This makes the whole maven repository step complex as I now have to manually overlay the existing jar file from an external source and add special handling for version changes. I would like to use freemarker, but IT will not follow this process and will require a template engine change if I cannot get the correct version of the jar using Ivy (or Maven). Please help.
