The FreeLock PHP encoder is almost ready for it's 1.0 release. The encoder provides good protection for your PHP scripts (and also compression)
Now released under the GNU GPL license

The first (beta test) release of FreeLock has been made. It's a PHP script encoder designed to rival some of the commercial solutions (though it doesn't, yet)
