Sometimes, it usually happens when my server machine is under high load, FreeKiSS skips to next file while playing.
Example: My KiSS DP-1500 is playing a 22 minute video just fine, but suddenly it skips to the next file in the directory. Well before end of the video. Manually going back to that file and seeking near into the time where the skip occurred, the player plays fine to the end of the video.
I am not a FreeKiSS developer, but I am thinking that Vista manages to make some I/O delays or something, which causes the Kiss player to choke and skip the file. I have used the same FreeKiSS 0.6 fine with the same player under Windows XP SP2. There I didn't see any problems, even under high load.
Is there any way I can debug the problem?
