mackja(*) tells you: pose should be spoof.. and it
should show up on the
receivers end.. mackja spoofs you: "quit" etc..
I don't particularly like two aspects of this item:
1. 'alias spoof pose' is a simple way of changing the
command name if
anyone so desires.
2. It is often undesirable to let users know they are
being posed as.
In addition, pose should be used so rarely that this is
not an issue at
all. In my personal opinion, pose should only be used
to help configure
bots/comps and to help newbies set up their account.
An alternative would be to implement 'spoof' in
addition to 'pose'. Spoof
would inform the user of the actions of the admin,
whereas pose would not.
Update: this request has been cancelled, although I
quite like the
option of having spoof as a notified pose.
