If your s/390 system is puking on the capabilities being sent, either due to a malformed packet, or an inability to respond to the type of query it is performing, you may experience the issues you are having. I would appreciate it if you could use the 'x3270' program (For X-windows, not windows from Microsoft) and send me a trace of the session. I will be able to better determine the mechanisms your system is using to query the client, and then fix freehost. > > For example when I give "HI JCL" in ISPF editor, it > says "Invalid Terminal". I have most of the changes done on my system, but they need to be cleaned up and finished before I will put them into CVS. Robbie |

Continuation from the Forum. The Color is not working correctly. I did not mean selecting the default color from the Application Menu. For example when I give "HI JCL" in ISPF editor, it says "Invalid Terminal". I want to clarify if this problems occurs for you also. As far a Modal is concerned, First the ApplicationFrame has to be thrown and then the EditHostFrame. The Edithost frame gets lost in the windows opened. Thanks. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com |

Hi all, I've checked in a bunch of changes into CVS. Most notably: 1. SSL support is fully enabled 2. Added a toolbar with PA1, PA2, PA3, Enter and Clear 3. Rebuilt the Query Reply packet to fully enable color, and ensure CICS is happy with the terminal definition. 4. Fixed the cursor/field background paint issue. 5. Fixed a bug reported by a user related to an improperly incrementing counter, THANK YOU! I think I created a new bug because I added the toolbar. The terminal window seems to render incorrectly on the first pass, but if you change the font to the same font size it then re-renders it correctly. I'm not sure what's going on exactly. Give it a shot...let me know what you think. Robbie -- Robbie Stone <ro...@se...> |

Check if it is selected by calling {{boolean isEncryptionUsed()}} method. The layout of the dialog window looks not so good now (if not awfull). It sounds not so hard, the only moment is, that it could be worthful to refactor configuration system. The 'client' module is concerned now with following settings: * Target terminal server; * Intermediate proxy, if it is present or not; * Encryption is added now. More options will come, I am sure... Adding a parameter for each of these configuration options to the list of client constructor methods is an easy way, but not the best. I shall see now, may be I will add a checkbox right now With best regards, -- Victor Anyakin () ascii ribbon campaign /\ - against html mail |

Hey all, I'm not sure I want to take the time to figure out how the JOptionPane class is being called in EditHostFrame. JOptionPane appears to have a zillion methods, all of which I know nothing about. Does someone want to take a stab at adding a check box to enable SSL encryption? The other option is to automatically enable SSL for ports other than 23, but I'm not certain that's wise. Thoughts? Robbie -- Robbie Stone <ro...@se...> |

That's a known problem I'm having. The margin setup is a bit odd, and I'm not sure I quite understand what the AWT system is doing. I'm going to play with it some more in the next few days. I switched the font from 'Courier' to 'Monospaced'. I checked on Linux, Solaris and Windows and 'Monospaced' (the family) seems to be available on all three. Interestingly, Windows does not have a 'Courier' font, rather, it has 'Courier New'. In theory the local system should now map the monospaced font family to an appropriate font on the platform.
