I found out I might need to get rid of borders of windows when making
the windows fullscreen. The reason for this is that when using
multiple displays with Windows the borders of one full screen window
might be visible on the view of the other display.
I first noticed that there is GLUT_BORDERLESS option for
GlutInitDisplayMode, but it seems to have two issues:
It does not make window borderless (at least on my Windows XP test
machine), it just makes the border narrow.
There are some problems with window active area calculation, as some
other code parts assume the default border dimensions.
I have now fixes for these issues on my test system, but I am now
thinking, should I also do a direct patch (not using the
GLUT_BORDERLESS flag) related to GlutFullscreen.
Is anybody else interested? Or are there know experiences, on what
might not work?
