Ron,

Hello and welcome to the "freeglut" community.

I've been away from my keyboard for a week and thus haven't have a chance to weigh in earlier.  I'm probably the closest you will find to a pure "freeglut" developer since my primary "freeglut" application was retired earlier this year.  I'm still available for questions and upgrades on a limited basis, though.

You've already gotten several responses to your initial comments.  There isn't a lot of development work going on because the library has been mostly developed by now.  Other people have already answered the question about a C++ interface, and I will largely concur with their answers.

If you have any suggestions about a "readme" addition regarding where to look when a bug manifests itself I am certainly open to suggestions.

Subject: [Freeglut-developer] freeglut API from a new user's perspective

I'm a new freeglut user with a multi-window problem, which I may post about shortly.  Meanwhile below are three general observations, meant to generate constructive dialog not criticize the freeglut concept or its originators.  (I'm a freeglut user, after all, and chose it over alternatives because of its attractive features and open source.)
