In terms of website updating, if you give me a week to get life settled down, I can
re-do the site. If anyone wants to give me CVS access to do this, or would like to just commit things I email them, let me know.

Ummm ... yes, the web site could certainly use some updating.  And I am sure we'd be happy for some help here.
Steve Baker received the ownership of "freeglut" from Pawel Olzsta (sp?) about a year ago when Pawel decided he did not have time or energy to maintain it.  Steve doesn't either (correct me if I'm wrong, Steve) but agreed to take it over simply to prevent a worthy endeavour from dying.

I have started using the library for a fairly large application that I wrote and maintain, and so I get a lot of mileage out of the Windows version.  I have just (a few months ago) gotten a Linux box as well and so I am starting to run on that, but I am still very much a neophyte when it comes to Linux.

So welcome aboard, and thank you in advance for all the help you're going to give us.

Ahh, gotcha.  Perhaps the website could use some updating then?  It has
some references to Glib, at least for the Win32 port of FreeGLUT.  More
updates may also help others see that there is still activity going on
here, which I didn't think there was any until I joined the list (and only
one of the lists has any activity at all, albeit I've been on the lists
for a whole 2 weeks now ;)).
