#31 freeglut on os x

Easy (28)

is it possible for anyone who has an os x machine to look over the configure
scripts and find out how to compile and install it on os x. the error that i
am getting seems really simple, but i'm not sure how the script is put
together, or what settings are off. here is the error i am getting.

someHost:~/Desktop/freeglut-2.2.0 someUser$ ./configure

An OpenGLUT user had expressed interest in getting OpenGLUT
to run on Mac OS/X. Perhaps you could discuss this with
him? (I do not know where that status is at at this point.
He might also be bypassing the X support; I gather that Mac
OS/X has its own API for graphics, though whether it is "more
direct" than using X, or if it is based on X, I'm not sure.)

porting freeglut to osx in a clean way won't be so easy,
unless you don't mind running x11 emulation all the time.

unfortunately i'm too busy with current projects, but having
a modern and clean glut occurs very important to me, so
maybe, i'll look into the project later.

    stay tuned.
